Is James Harden the Best Player in the NBA?

James Harden thinks he is the best player in the NBA.  Yes, he really does think that.  The other day he said, "I'm the best all-around basketball player in the NBA."  Harden really thinks he is better than LeBron James, Kevin Durant,  Carmelo Anthony, and LaMarcus Aldridge.  Harden is one of the worst defenders in the NBA, and he thinks he is the best all-around player.  Harden isn't even the best offensive player in the league.  Harden is ranked 5th in Offenseive Real Plus-Minus at +5.97 per 100 possessions.  He is ranked 397th in Defensive Real Plus-Minus at -2.84 per 100 possessions. Manu Ginobili is ranked 6th behind Harden in the ORPM but is ranked 8th in the overall RPM.  Harden drops down to 45th in the RPM.  Harden's offensive game is top 5 but his defense is the 397th best.  There is no larger gap per player between the two stats. How can he be the best all-around player when he doesn't play defense and isn't the best offensive player in the league.  Harden is one of the best players in the league, but he for sure is not the best all-around.
