#5 Danvers Glides Past Gloucester

Tonight #5 Danvers faced off with the Gloucester Fishermen.  Danvers, a Massachusetts powerhouse was coming off of a win against Somerville on Saturday, and was ready to clean up their game.

Before the game even tipped off Danvers jumped out to an advantage.  They took a 2-0 lead on a technical foul called in warmups.  From there it was all Danvers.  The Falcons jumped out to an early 9-0 start and their game was almost flawless.

Senior Devan Harris got into early foul trouble for the Falcons and forced them to create a new game plan.

Danvers did not skip a beat at all though.  Vinny Clifford scored 27 first half points for them to give them a 42-20 lead going into the half.  He finished with 29 points and 8 rebounds on the night.

Sophomore Devonn Allen also played a great game.  The Falcons' guard finished with 12 points, 8 assists, and 6 steals.  He was all over the court and played with a special bounce in his step tonight.

Even though they lost their best player in Harris early on, Danvers still found a way to dominate the game.  With their win tonight they move to 4-0 on the season and look like they are ready to dominate the Northeastern Conference.  Danvers is now #5 in the state and is certainly one of the best all around teams in the state of Massachusetts.  They play Rockland next on Friday, January 2nd.
