Brandon Jennings and the Pistons Have Reversed the Curse

Last night, Brandon Jennings scored a game wining layup to beat the Spurs 105-104 with 0.1 seconds left in the game.  The Spurs had the ball and a 1 point lead with eight seconds left, but then turned it over which led to Jennings' bucket.

Detorit rallied in the third quarter on a 23-11 run. They overcame an 18 point deficit to grab the lead.  The Spurs simply handed this game to the red hot Pistons.

Since releasing Josh Smith, Detroit is 6-0.  It seems they have truly reversed the curse he had cast on them.  The Pistons seem to have found a new team identity that may be able to lead to long term success.

Jennings' game winning layup boosted Detroit on a night their big men carried the team.  Andre Drummond finished with 20 points and 17 rebounds.  Their other big, Greg Monroe, ended the night with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Detroit is now 11-23, only 3.5 games behind the 8th spot in the East.  With their new found success the Pistons have great potential to make a run for a playoff spot in the weak Eastern Conference.
