Danjel Purifoy has verbally committed to Auburn. During the Elite 24 Dunk Contest tonight he announced he would be going there after his senior season of high school basketball. Purifoy is a 6'6" small forward who is ranked 50th in the ESPN 100. He can rebound the basketball well and get to the hoop easily. He is a great landing for Auburn's new head coach Bruce Pearl. Pearl could not even talk to Purifoy due to NCAA penalties. His assistant coaches did all the work in getting Purifoy to commit. Last season at Bibb County High School, Purifoy averaged 17.7 PPG and 6.1 RPG. Watch Purifoy play live in the Under Armour Elite 24 game live tomorrow night on ESPNU at 7PM ET.
